Sandbox
The sandbox is the Protearc demo running on your machine, with a service token already registered. Everything behind it is synthetic: the members, their results and their reports are generated examples, not real people.
The sandbox token
This token belongs to the synthetic organization Meridian Longevity, so it reaches only Meridian's synthetic members, for example PA-0001. It carries no real data and has no access to any other organization.
Values in a report are in NPQ (normalized protein quantification, log2 scale). The real response also carries the release time, who released it and the performing laboratory.

r = requests.get(
"http://localhost:8000/v1/members/PA-0001/reports",
headers={"Authorization": "Bearer ptk_sandbox_meridian_demo"},
)
print(r.json())const r = await fetch("http://localhost:8000/v1/members/PA-0001/reports", {
headers: { Authorization: "Bearer ptk_sandbox_meridian_demo" },
});
console.log(await r.json());{

}What it can reach
With the sandbox token you can call the platform routes for Meridian's synthetic members:
| Route | Does |
|---|---|
POST /v1/orders | Place an order. It creates a synthetic member and a requisition. |
GET /v1/members/{member_ref}/reports | Released reports, as JSON or with ?format=fhir. |
GET /v1/members/{member_ref}/changes | What changed against the member's own baseline. |
POST /v1/webhooks | Register a webhook endpoint. The local demo also accepts http://localhost and http://127.0.0.1 addresses. |
POST /v1/embeds | Issue a short-lived token for the member view. |
It cannot reach Arc Watch settings, laboratory routes or operator routes: those take a sign-in token, and the sandbox token is refused there.
Interactive reference
The API Reference lists every public route with code samples and a Test Request console. The sandbox token is already filled in as the bearer token, so you can try each route against the synthetic members.
